Kazuki becomes deeply traumatized when he witnesses the murder of his girlfriend, Naoko. As such, he subsequently seeks out counseling to deal with his psychological scars. His memories of the incident are extremely cloudy but haunt him nonetheless. When the police are unwilling to admit that Naoko was murdered, he eventually resigns himself to moving on with his life and gets a new job at a mannequin factory. There, he spots a girl named Tomie that oddly looks exactly like his dead girlfriend. Kazuki, however, does his best to avoid her. Meanwhile, the Tomie that Kazuki sees is preoccupied with another girl who is also named Tomie; apparently her equally evil clone, who lives with one of their co-workers. The two rival Tomies clash, leaving carnage in their wake and force Kazuki's lost memories to resurface.
